Dunlop : A “Galactica” Collection!

DUNLOP HAS LAUNCHED THE NEW GALACTICA LINE OF RACQUETS, WHICH WILL COMPLEMENT THE CURRENT AEROSTAR LINE FOR THE FULL 2022 AND COMPLETE THE TOP OF THE RANGE OF THE JAPANESE BRAND.

First the Aerostar, now the Galactica. Dunlop is serious!
In addition to attractive design and cutting-edge technology, there is a brand that is pushing to conquer, day after day, the world of padel. Dunlop is a colossus with over a century of tennis history behind it. Its current objective? To write history in padel!

With the new Galactica line, Dunlop tries to reach every kind of padelist by proposing what it has been doing for years in the world of tennis: dividing the line of rackets into different models and weights.
As with the Aerostar, the Galactica line is divided into three models: Galactica Pro, Galactica and Galactica Lite. Let’s go over the technologies used and the models one by one….

TECHNOLOGIES

One of the most important factors in the performance of a padel racket is the carbon.
The Galactica line boasts 12K carbon and a Japanese Carbon construction, which guarantees great hitting power and superior performance. Then we have the Trimax technology that, positioned in the heart of the racket, acts as a reinforcement and guarantees great stability and consistency in every shot. The Control Holes, on the other hand, consists of a unique and revolutionary arrangement of holes on the racquet shaft (horizontal, vertical and diagonal) to guarantee structural solidity in symbiosis with the 12K Carbon construction.
Last but not least is the Injection Bumper, a new frame protection system positioned along the top of the frame that increases safety and therefore durability.

GALACTICA PRO

The heaviest and most “difficult” of the range. Designed for high level players looking for a solid and consistent racquet. The Galactica Pro is Juani Mieres‘ racquet of choice, weighing 370 grams, with a hybrid shape and high balance. It also boasts an additional technology that its younger sisters do not: the 45° Face. This technology is to all intents and purposes a modification of the lay-up of the 12K carbon located in the impact area that allows to increase the sensitivity and comfort at the impact with the ball.

GALACTICA

The “normal” Galactica has classic features and is versatile: suitable for high level players who like the more usual specifications and for mid-level players who want to play with a top of the range product. The shape of the pot is hybrid, the weight 365 grams and the balance medium. Unlike the Pro, where only gray interrupts the black of the racquet, this racquet boasts yellow trim.

GALACTICA LITE

The lightest racket in the line, the Galactica Lite is Marta Borrero‘s racket (134 WPT at just 18 years old): ideal for girls but also for those, both high and medium level, looking for a versatile and manageable racket. The weight in fact drops to 355 grams, the balance is medium and the rubber is EVA Ultra Soft (the other Galactica have EVA rubber). In this case the finish is light blue.

_________________

The new Dunlop Galactica are already much loved by professional players, masters and simple enthusiasts and… What can I say? Dunlop is doing what it has been doing for a long time in tennis (and in rubber production in general, but that’s another matter): creating products of excellence!
In addition to racquets, it’s almost unnecessary to mention padel balls. Dunlop’s “know-how” in the production of balls has no equal … try – the Dunlop Pro Padel – to believe!
